So it is a monetary > issue I know that is what the official line is, but how the hell could they owe 700k$ ? Especially when they were nearly sold out 4 nights out of 7 (Friday and Saturday have always been popular, reggae-dancehall on Sunday was sold-out, Manic/Black-Mondays was always sold-out). Note also that the owner is not talking at all. I think somebody has scammed a lot of cash and taken off. I do agree that the under-age drinking rumour was probably just that, a rumour. > Moby/Prodigy show at Metropolis ... If any of you are going, let the list > know! I'll be there. > i need input on what you hear on the rave scene, be it a rave, a show or > a cool vinyl you got at Wow Don't forget InBeat on St.Laurent near Prince Arthur, they only sell vinyl and they have lots of white labels. For CD stuff, I find Rayon Laser not bad for Comp's (on Prince Arthur near St. Laurent), and they will do special orders for you. [Ed. note: Check also Tabou disque for vynil and CD and Archambault for CD. Any other place people know? And i almost forgot: all the used CD places have techno CDs for really good prices.] > this weekend is pretty calm Agreed. The DNA people have organized a bus to go to MA rave. Unfortunately, I don't have their hotline number with me here at work. > This comming monday i should know if i can get a warehouse near my house > for 50$ Bon Chance! and please keep us all informed. I mentioned in my last post about organizing people for the rave scene. Last night I talked with a number of people and one of our latest ideas is to actually run a Bar. I know this sounds kind of anti-rave and pro-alcahol, but the logic is that it is going to take a lot of work and some profit has to be made somewhere to pay people. The idea is that the place will be a bar with different theme nights (like the Fouf-model). Further, the place can be rented out to party organizers (re: raves). One of the things I found in general is that people hate to organize things, it takes to much work and expense: lights, sound, DJs, security, publicity, location, location, location, etc. The idea is that most of work is taken off the hands of the rave organizers. They can concentrate on the important stuff like themes, decor, etc: the artistic side of it. We take care of the organizational side. We provide a sound system, the staff, some lights, the location, etc. What do you people think? Finally, I apologize for the length of my last two posts. I promise to cut them down in the future. [Ed. note:Since you were the only post today, i didn't cut anything 8). People, take example on Peter, give us feedback!] pEacE, -- Peter A. Barszczewski | . . . . . . .
