Hello all: How good will be the rave at LaBrique? How hard will it be? Will LaBrique be a rave bar for now or is it just one night. -Hoping to go to a rave one day, Rob De/From: dionf@ERE.UMontreal.CA (Francois Dion) Sujet/Subject: La Brique and record stores Robert and those who are thinking about going to La Brique friday: It should be pretty good at La Brique. I should be there at 12:30 and at 12:45 i'll be at the DJ booth. As always check for the red CD with stripes. La brique will be a rave bar after that. It's not just a one off. Chris: Now, regarding record stores there are lots and lots. Some typical places: WOW (peel street), InBeat (st-laurent), Archambault (ste-catherine), Dutchy's (St-Laurent), Tabou (St-Laurent). These are the places were you should find techno music in CD or vinyl. Also, check HMV and SAM if you are looking for domestic techno (i mean, not imports) (both on Ste-Catherine). Also, for used CDs: l'echange, le retour (both on St-Denis), I know i'm forgetting some places, but hey, it's late and i'm tired... All these are listed in the white pages and in the yellow pages, so you can get the exact address there. The ones that are near each other: Tabou, Wow, HMV are all near (metro station Peel, walk down to ste-catherine). The others are a bit more dispersed but are still within walkable distance (InBeat, Archambault, Dutchy's). And on St-Denis and Mont-Royal you can find at least 6 or 7 used CDs (and vinyls) stores, all within walking distance (Metro Mont-Royal - you do the stores on Mount-Royal, then you go down St-Denis... Again, check the yellow pages). Yes, everybody, i will make a map one of these days with all these... GIF is ok with everyone? Should there also be a text only directory (with addresses and phone numbers)?
