What i need to do is to find a place (i had one but i have too much problem with the owner) and do promotion. For audio equipment i have some stuff (basically i'll need 4 JBL - Someone will let me use 2 1200 watts power amps. The problem is moving four big speakers like that. I'll also need a dual cd player). Lighting: i'll rent 2 robozap. With my blacklights and strobes and police light it should be enough. And of course a fog machine (maybe a mirror ball also?). I'll be going down next week to Boston to buy smartdrink mixes. And of course i have the DJs.(MRDC, Pat and me). And i almost forgot. Anybody has a sequence (about 2 to 10 seconds) of people dancing in a digital format? (fli, mpeg, gif etc...)? I want to use these pictures as cache for a red plasma, to get the kind of effectthat was projected at the Moby/Prodigy show at Metropolis. So the help i will need: some promotion (any ideas?), some help to plug the stuff and do some decors. Also, if you know a place that could be used for a rave (3500sf minimum). I know some place for bigger raves (over 1000 people) but i just dont have the budget! Last, if you go to subway tonight (wednesday) or Ozone this saturday, i'll be there, so check for my red CD with diagonal white stripes hanging from my neck! I'll be at Subway at around 10pm. For Ozone, I could be at a precise hour at one place (near the door, the DJ, the toilet, whatever). What's the best place to be seen, Road Warrior? The Road \/\/arrior De/From: macdonald christopher Sujet/Subject: Re: R.U.N. #12 Toronto is rave happy! With an event or two every weekend, some say the scene is getting out of control. Unfortunately, many of these raves are simply 'rave-like-events', held at clubs and the like. Even some warehouse bashes are pretty pathetic. This past Saturday night was SMILE held by the Delirium Rave Organization. I didn't make it out, but if anyone did, I'd like to hear if it was any good. Coming up, Underground Resistance (nice rip off name) and GENETIX. Dates and info to come later. As for record stores in the Toronto area. Try Lots o' Discs, Cawthra Rd. and the Queensway in Mississaugua. They have a fair selection of popular techno in the 12" format. Some rare CD techno compilations are also available. The place to be. Of course, on Yonge St., you have the bigger and better stores. HMV 333 Yonge, has a good selection (not great). The best store, in my opinion, is Starsound Records, just up the street. [Ed.
