 *********** THE RAVE on friday 26th will not be happening *************

Yes it's true... I have spent the past weeks to organise this and it wont
be happening... i am so drained and depressed...

The problem: after a lot of problems i had a nice place, a semi basement on
st-paul. I went tuesday morning to start to install things, but found several
inches of water. After evaluation we noticed that water was still coming in
from a big crack in the wall. With the time left before the rave it was
impossible to pump the water out, dry the place and install everything
(video system, light system, band equipment, sound system, computer system ...)
so all tuesday i searched for places while during the night i continued to
prepare videos, cut some tubing etc... Today (wednesday) i almost found a
place but after the deal was almost done (500$) the guy asked for a civil
responsibility insurance specific for the place (not just my general insurance)
Now this is were it starts to go wrong. Called several insurance agents and
brokers till i found one that would insure this place (on duke street).
800$. 1300$ for just the place is more than i can chew...

So, this weekend you can still get some action on saturday night at solstice.
I'll post the number tommorow. You can also get a flyer for the event at
Juan+ juanita (cours Mont-Royal, at corner Ste-Catherine and Peel), Tabou,
InBeat and other places. BTW, Juan+Juanita is *NOT* a record shop. It is a
clothes shop. Cool rave gear there, but it aint free.

Anyway, that's all for now, and sorry for the disapointment. I will go in my
little corner and be depressed for some time, but dont worry, i'll be back
and this time (hopefully!) it will work ok.
